One of the most common questions I get asked when it comes to fitness and nutrition is “what products do you use?”. Since this is a rather open ended questions, I decided to compile a blog post of my fitness and nutrition staples. I began my fitness journey many moons ago, so I’ve tried a ton of different products. After a lot of trial and error, I’ve finally discovered what works best for me and my body. Here we go!
Arbonne Essentials Protein Powder is hands down the best protein powder I have every tried – and trust me, I’ve tried a lot of different protein powders. Not only does it taste amazing – it’s also completely vegan, soy/gluten/dairy free and it contains NO artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors. It is also packed with over 20 vitamins and minerals. This protein also has a low glycemic index which makes this a diabetic friendly protein powder because it will not cause a spike in blood sugar.
Now that I’m officially in my 30’s I’ve become more conscience of what I put into my body. I typically mix the chocolate with cold water and drink it as a snack in the afternoon or when I’m craving something sweet. My favorite way to use the vanilla is in protein smoothies in the mornings to drink on my way to work.
I add two scoops of vanilla protein powder, 1 cup of frozen mixed berries and 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk.
I blend it up with my NutriBullet and the end result is a bright purple delicious protein smoothie that has 30g of carbohydrates, 6g of fat and 22g of protein!
Arbonne’s Phytosport collection consists of Prepare and Endure, Complete Hydration and After Workout.
Prepare and Endure delivers carbohydrates, ribose and L-carnitine to support energy and helps prevent you from ‘crashing’.
Complete Hydration delivers a combination of 6 electrolytes to support optimal hydration for proper muscle and cell function and to replenish electrolytes that are lost during exercise.
Finally, After Workout delivers an ideal ratio (2:1:1) of branched-chain amino acids that help alleviate exercise induced muscle soreness to support recovery.
All of these products are clean, plant-powered, are formulated without gluten and contain NO artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners.
These Arbonne Energy Fizz Sticks are serious life save for me every single day. They are vegan, soy/gluten/dairy free and do not contain any artificial colors or sweeteners. They give you energy, help boost your metabolism and help return your body to an alkaline state. They are a great alternative to coffee or soda!
I’ve been incorporating collagen into my diet for the past few months and have seen great results! If you missed my post all about collagen, you can find it here:
My go-to multivitamin is Opti-Women. Our bodies fundamental building blocks consist of vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients. It’s SO important to take a multivitamin because they contribute to our energy levels, immunity and performance. Opti-Women has been designed as a comprehensive Nutrient Optimization System that contains botanicals, antioxidants and other gender focused components.
SHRED HER is an all natural fat burner scientifically formulated and dosed for females designed to rapidly promote fat loss. I’ve been using this product consistently for quite a few months and really love it! I take two capsules a day. Once right after I wake up, and another about 2 hours later.
CLA’s (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) promote fat loss, support lean muscle development and enhance your metabolic rate. HER CLA is a powerful, highly concentrated form of the naturally occurring CLA. When combined with diet and regular exercise CLA’s can help you achieve a leaner body. I use this in conjunction with Shred Her. I take 3 capsules a day, one before my breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I drink at least one gallon of water each and every day. Consuming adequate amounts of water not only keeps you hydrated, but it also helps to energize your muscles, it helps keep your skin clear, and it aids in digestion and kidney function. So get to guzzlin!
I’ve been using Versa Grips for years now so it was a no brainer to add them to my list of fitness staples. They’re a great grip assist for you to use during lat pull downs or rows. I even use them for stiff leg deadlifts when I get up to heavier weights. A definite must for my gym bag!
Most gyms have ankle cuffs like the ones above that you can use, but the though of someone else’s sweaty ankle being in them just creeps me out. So I bought a set of my own to keep in my gym bag. These come in extremely handy to use during my leg and glute workouts! I attach them to my ankles to do cable kick backs, side lunges and more!
Another one of my leg and glute day staples are BForce Booty Bands. BForce bands are so versatile and can be used in so many different ways. They would be great to take with you if you travel a lot. A complete glute workout could be done in your hotel room using these!
Some of my favorite ways to use these are for pop squats, abductions and low squat walks. Love these things!
Last but certainly not lease, is my Fitbit Alta! This was one of my favorite purchases this year! It’s an activity tracker so it keeps count of my steps and activity levels throughout the day. Because I attend Orangetheory Fitness regularly, I did not need something that tracked my heart rate. It’s slim band doesn’t get in the way and doesn’t feel bulky on my wrist at all! I also love that you can change on the bands to match your outfit!
