It’s Friday and it feels so good! I hope everyone had a great, productive week! Schoen and I are planning on going to Peli Peli for dinner tomorrow night and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s been a while since we’ve had a date night so I’m looking forward to some quality time with my guy. Other than that, no big plans are on our calendar. I hope you all have a great weekend! Here is this weeks Friday Favorites!
Last week I treated one of my friends to a birthday lunch at Seasons 52. It was my first time to ever dine at their restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. We started off with some cocktails, wine for me and a dirty martini for her, followed by a delicious entree.
The picture doesn’t do my dish justice! I had the Honey and Herb All-Natural Half Roasted Chicken and it was to die for. It was served with a sauté of vegetables, Yukon mash, lemon herb jus. Delish!
You all know that I love to binge watch some TV shows from time to time. My husband and I polished off the first season of Goliath last week and it was great! Amazon has come out with some really great shows lately.
Food Freedom Forever
You all also know that I love to read and do so almost every night. I finally jumped onto the Audible bandwagon this week and downloaded a few books (your first two books are free!). Food Freedom Forever by Melissa Hartwig is fantastic! If you’ve ever struggled with your relationship with food I cannot recommend this book enough. I’ve been listening to it in the car on my way to and from work.
It Starts With Food
Another book I downloaded, It Starts With Food, is also co-authored by Melissa Hartwig. I’m only a few chapters in, but this is also a fantastic book. I can’t stress enough how much help this book could be if you struggle with food or are contemplating tackling a Whole30.
Unfortunately we don’t have a Trader Joe’s near our house. But, there is one near my office! I popped in the other day to pick up a few items. Some fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, frozen veggies and meat made it’s way into my cart. I’m testing out some Whole30 recipes because I’m contemplating doing a Whole30 when we get back from Mexico next month.
