Hi Friends! Happy Friday, and happy June! June is my favorite because it’s my birthday month! I’ll be 31 a week from today…crazy! How has everyone’s week been? Mine has been incredibly busy with work due to the short work week. Needless to say, I’m stoked that it’s Friday. In some other big news, I hired a coach to help me with some of my training and nutrition! Kayla from Variety by Vashti is awesome (check out her IG here) and I can’t wait to dive into my new plan on Monday!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted a Friday Favorites, so I wanted to pop in to share some things that have made it onto my favorites list lately. Feel free to join comment below and share some of the things you’ve been loving lately! Have a great weekend!
The hubs got me a Kindle Oasis for Christmas last year and it is one of my favorite presents he’s gotten me. It gets used every single day. It’s super compact, thin and light weight which makes it great for throwing into your purse or carry-on.
I also love the non-glare screen. I can read in direct sunlight with no problem at all. It’s batter life is also amazing! It comes with a charging cover that allows the battery to last months. My Oasis got a lot of use during our trip to Mexico a few weeks ago! Speaking of books, I compiled a list of summer must reads if you want to check it out!
I’ve been wanting a pair of wireless headphones for quite, and after a lot of research (Melissa Hartwig’s honest review was a major deciding factor for me), I decided to pick up these Jaybird X3’s. Y’all. These are amazing. I’m so glad I bought them. They’re super lightweight and comfortable! They come with a ton of different fins and buds so you can find your perfect fit! I’ve worn them at the gym, on the plane and by the pool. Solid purchase!
A few weeks ago I went to dinner with one of my friends at P.F. Changs. I wanted to order something different to sip on, and I decided on their Cucumber Collins and oh my. It was so delicious! It’s a mixture of Belvedere Vodka, honey water and cucumber poured over muddled Thai basil and hand-squeezed lemon juice. Yum!
Danny Gokey & Casting Crowns Concert
A few weeks ago, after dinner at P.F. Chang’s, my friend and I headed over to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion to see Danny Gokey and the Casting Crowns. It was so much fun! Danny Gokey is one of my favorite Christian artists. They play so many of my favorite songs, it was such a fun night!
A few weeks ago Schoen and I spent nearly a week at the gorgeous new Unico Hotel in Riviera Maya. It was absolutely stunning. I’m working on a trip recap to share with you all. So stay tuned!
