Hey, y’all! Happy Friday to all of you! What’s everyone got planned this weekend? We don’t have any big plans made yet. It’s supposed to rain all weekend here in Houston, so it may shape up to be a lazy and relaxing couple of days! In normal Friday fashion, here is this week’s Friday Favorites. Have an awesome weekend!
Active Wow Teeth Whitening Charcoal Powder
I’ve been hearing so many people rave about charcoal powder and it’s ability to naturally whiten your teeth. After a quick google search I found this activated coconut charcoal powder that had 4.5/5 stars with over twelve thousand reviews. It’s also a steal at only $24.79 because it will last me a long time! I also picked up some of these soft charcoal toothbrushes to use with the powder. I can already tell a slight difference in the shade of my teeth and I’ve only been using the powder for a few days.

Homemade Buttercream Frosting
A few weeks ago I opted to make a box made lemon cake for the husband’s birthday (hello convenience!). I ended up making a double layer cake to make it look a little more fancy. One thing I didn’t keep that in mind when I bought frosting was that I’d need more than usual, so I ended up running out half way through the icing process. We raided my pantry and fridge and realized I had all of the ingredients (minus milk) to make a homemade buttercream frosting. I used a bit of French Vanilla Nut Pods coffee creamer in lieu of milk and it worked out great! Here’s the recipe we used:
- 3 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Butter, Softened
- 1-2 tsp of Vanilla Extract
- 1-2 tbsp of French Vanilla Nut Pods Creamer
- Using an electric mixer, whip the butter until it's creamy.
- Slowly add in the powdered sugar until it's combined with the butter.
- add in the vanilla and creamer and mix until combined.
If I knew how easy homemade icing was to make, I would have been making it for years! I will totally be making my own icing going forward! Delicious!
