Hi friends! I hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween week! I purchased a big bag of candy to pass out to trick-or-treaters, but the rain scared them all away! It down poured a majority of Tuesday evening, so we eventually turned off our front porch light because no kiddos were out and about. I was totally bummed because I always look forward to our Halloween tradition of passing out candy and watching Hocus Pocus. We still watched the movie, but it wasn’t quite the same this year.
As for our weekend plans, we have a full weekend of house related to-do’s on our schedule. I hope to be able to share some exciting news with you all soon! Fingers crossed a few things go as planned next week! Anyways, I’m popping in today to share my usual Friday Favorites post. I hope y’all have a great weekend!
The Cheese Bar Turkey, Brie & Apple Sandwich
Last weekend my mom came into town to spend a few days with us. The two of us ventured out to The Cheese Bar on Friday evening for dinner and some drinks. I asked the waiter what their most popular sandwich was and he said the turkey, brie and apple without skipping a beat. I took his word for it and ordered one for myself with a side of their award winning mac and cheese. It was delicious!
Dog Mom Socks
Last Saturday we headed up to The Woodlands for a day of shopping. We popped into Altar’d State and fell in love with just about everything they had for sale. How cute are these Dog Mom socks? They would make a great stocking stuffer for the dog lover in your life!
Daily Power by Craig Groeschel
I picked up this new devotional, Daily Power, by my Pastor Craig Groeschel and I’m loving it because it’s written from a personal experience perspective. Here is what Amazon has to say about it: “Groeschel shares wisdom from personal experience as a spouse, parent, son, and pastor that can help you write your own life story the way you’d like it to read. Each devotion includes a Scripture quote, a short reading, and a simple prayer to connect you with God. You’ll get honest talk, simply told stories your heart will own, and truth wrapped in a grin.”

All the Missing Girls by Megan Miranda
If you’re a lover of mystery and suspense books, then you’ll love this book my Megan Miranda called All the Missing Girls. I purchased it on my kindle a few nights ago and I’ve gotten totally sucked into it. The book is about two girls that have gone missing a decade apart. The story is told in reverse, which initially concerned me, but I’m loving this book. A definite must read if you’re a mystery junkie like me.

Dirty John Podcast
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve listened to a Podcast. As I was perusing the top charts the other day, Dirty John’s great ratings got my attention. Dirty John is about Debra Newell, a successful interior designer that meets and falls in love with John Meehan. John seems to have all the qualities she’s looking for in a man: handsome, attentive, available and just back from a year in Iraq with Doctors Without Boarders. Soon Debra and her family are entangled in a complex web of love, denial and ultimately, survival. I started it yesterday and I’m already on episode 5, it’s sucked me in!
