Whoop whoop! It’s Friday! I hope you all have a great productive week. Any fun weekend plans on the schedule? I have a much needed hair appointment early tomorrow morning and then plans to do a bit of shopping for the house after that. I also need to get in a few workouts and work on some blog related deadlines. But, speaking of workouts, I’ll be sharing my new favorite workout app as part of today’s Friday Favorites. So, lets dive in, shall we?
Trader Joe’s Everything But The Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend
Ok, if you don’t have this Everything But The Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend in your life, you need to go get it. Now! It’s amazing. I had seen so many people using it all over social media, and I finally picked some up last weekend. I was not really sure what to use it on at first, but after a quick Instagram search, I settled on avocado toast with an over easy egg, topped with this holy grail of a seasoning. Oh. My. Goodness. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
The Transform App
The Transform App is hands down one of my favorite workout related apps that I have used to date. It was created by Chris and Heidi Powell, known for their show Extreme Weight Loss, and is a gold mind for a gym lover like me. It is not a free app, but is totally affordable and worth it in my opinion. Especially right now! They’re running a special through the end of the month and you can get 40%+ off their packages. I chose to do the 3 month package for $23.39. Here is what a snapshot of my workouts look like:
The app is totally customizable based on your goals. They even have an at-home workout option available now! There is a spot for you to record your weight, progress pictures and journal notes. They also offer nutrition guidance that is automatically tweaked based on your progress/goals. But what I like the best about it is that it takes the guess work out of what movements I’m going to do at the gym each day. I’m way more efficient when I walk into the gym with a game plan. It even walks you through your sets and outlines what intensity you should be at. I highly recommend checking this app out and taking advantage of their special right now!
Final Girls By Riley Sager
This book is the epitome of a page turner. I stayed up way too late reading this book and finished it in 3 days. Final Girls follows the life if Quincy Carpenter, a woman who managed to survive a brutal massacre that killed five of her friends when she was on a weekend trip to a cabin in the woods in college. Dubbed one of three “Final Girls,” one of three women who survived horrific killings when others did not, Quincy is trying her best to lead a normal life. Then Lisa, one of the three Final Girls and the only one of 10 sorority sisters to survive a sorority house murder massacre in college, is found dead and Sam, the other Final Girl, shows up on Quincy’s doorstep. Quincy’s life is turned upside down again. If you’re in the market for a new thriller, definitely check it out!
It looks like this book is going to be released in paperback on 1/23/18. However, it is available for Kindle users right now!
Blue Light Blocking Glasses
I’ve been seeing quite a few people talk about blue light blocking glasses lately, so I decided to check them out. They’re supposed to help prevent eye fatigue and promote better sleep patterns. As you can see in the picture above, everything looks like it’s in sepia when wearing the glasses. So far I have been wearing them anytime I am in front of the computer and have no complaints! And for under $20, I figured what the heck, I’ll give them a shot!
Making The Bed
One thing that I have done every single morning since the beginning of the new year is make the bed. I actually timed myself this morning and it took me less than 3 minutes to fully make the bed and tidy up our master bedroom. With it taking that little amount of time, there is no reason for me to not make the bed each morning. It’s starts my day off on a positive note and it’s nice to have a made bed at the end of each day. It makes me feel put together and organized!
