Friday, I am oh so glad you’re here! I hope you all had a fantastic week and are welcoming Friday with open arms like I am! I have a busy weekend ahead of me. It’s mainly filled with blog related to-do’s because I have some deadlines quickly approaching. But I also have plans to attend the Host Team orientation at our church on Sunday morning after the service we attend. Serving at our church has been something I have always wanted to do, so I finally took the leap and signed up.
I will be sure to fill you all in on my weekend in another weekend in pictures post early next week. Until then, lets stick with the regular scheduled programming around here in the form of Friday Favorites. I am dubbing this weeks Friday Favorites the ‘Home Edition’ because I’m sharing a few items I’ve recently purchase for our new rental home in Oklahoma. Let’s dig in, shall we?
Threshold Area Rug
Our new home for the next few years is a rental. Due to the tight turn around time we had to move, we felt it was best to rent opposed to buy. This is our first home with hardwood floors, and I knew one my first purchases would be an area rug for the living room. Here is a picture of the space before:
And here is a picture of the space after:
I found this Threshold Area Rug at Target and fell in love with it instantly. I feel like it pulls the room together and makes it look more cozy. It’s on sale now too!
50% Off Mirrors At Hobby Lobby
I’ve been wanting a nice floor mirror for quite a while. The other mirror we had in our room was just too small. And the long oval shape was a bit awkward. I waited for the mirrors at Hobby Lobby to go on sale and snagged this reclaimed wood mirror last weekend as well. Love it!
Bona Microfiber Floor Mop
We’ve only lived in our new home for about a month and I’ve quickly discovered that keeping hardwood floors clean is a feat. My mom recently remodeled her living room and kitchen and had hardwood installed. She highly recommended this Bona Microfiber Mop and raved about how easy it is to use and keep your floors clean. I snagged one last weekend while I was out shopping and used it the second I got home so we had a clean floor to put the area rug on.
You guys. This thing is a life saver. It picked up so much dust, dirt and tidbits after just one pass. This mop is a must if you have hardwood or laminate floors. It even worked great on my tile kitchen! Plus, the cloths are machine washable which is a huge plus.
Capri Blue Volcano Candle
I know I’ve raved about this candle in the past, but it’s just that good. I got a few of these Volcano Candles for Christmas and have been burning them every night in the new house. They’re my favorite candle of all time and make the house smell absolutely wonderful!
